RPG Review: Curriculum of Conspiracy (2008) by The Unshaven A detailed setting in which many different styles of campaigns can be set, but loses much of the blackly comedic elements that have distinguished the Monsters and Other Childish Things line. |
RPG Review: CZ9: The East Mark Gazetteer (2007) by Merric Blackman "The Mouths of Madness"... or "The Caves of Chaos"? A preview of what is to come in Castle Zagyg! |
RPG Review: RuneQuest Deluxe (2007) by Lev Lafayette The three-in-one publication is a welcome compendium to the Mongoose RuneQuest line. The general game system is good but suffers from numerous, and sometimes serious, glitches. Stylistically average the book is reads well, but without flair. |
RPG Review: Labyrinth Lord (2007) by Will Mistretta Labyrinth Lord is a restatement of classic D&D rules from the early 80s. For my money, it's the most elegant complete version of the game ever published, and in a new, snazzy package, to boot. |
RPG Review: Robotech The Shadow Chronicles Role-Playing Game (2008) by Jochen Wenzel Plain layout, crappy organisation, average writing and sloppy editing mated to dated and clunky concepts and mechanics not really suited to emulate the cinematic feel of Robotech. Caveat emptor. |
